The government relations and policy committee is always busy at work reviewing policy and trying to make change. These resources can be used by anyone to change their own municipality and join in our fight to save more old barns!

Severance Presentation (2022)

Presentation video on severance you can provide and present to you local township council meeting without needing to understand the technical language. If you want someone from OBP to attend as well reach out.

Letter to your Muncipality (2022)

A letter you can send to your municipality to advocate for a different way to do farm severances and farm consolidations. Particularly effective when Official Plans and Zoning laws are being changed and comment is open to the public.

Demolition Permits & YOBS (2025)

This letter is to let the building department know that if they receive a demo permit for an old barn they could request or suggest that OBP enter the barn into YOBS before it is lost forever.
